My name is Chandra Gurung, a government registered professional trekking guide. I have been working in the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal since 2001.

After working many years in the tourism industry with many clients from different countries, I have collected vast experience in destination of Nepal trekking. So, now I'm working as a freelance, independent trekking guide in Nepal and speak fluent English language.

Guiding in the Himalayas is natural for me because I am adjusted to the altitude. Educated Trekking Guide, I completed a university degree (Master) in the subject of demography and a Bachelor of Travel and Tourism degree too. I also have achieved a trekking guide certificate from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation Government of Nepal.

Annapurna Circuit Trek was opened in 1977 AD then after some years the Annapurna circuit trekking has become the most popular in Nepalese Himalayas. Annapurna circuit trek is scenery and cultural diversity and it crosses to the north of the main Himalayas range to the dry Tibet-like trans-Himalaya and crosses a 5416m high pass.

The last week of the trek is the Jomsom trek in rivers, following the dramatic Kali Gandaki valley. It also has the advantage of having accommodation available each night.

Andrew,You look so happy in these photos!!Meeting ppeole along the way will probably be one of your best memories from this adventure.Love,Mom and Dad

E forse in tante cose e8 vero..

  2. Hi Chandra, which is better Annapurna Circuit or Base camp?

  3. Chandra Gurung

Both are nice trip in Nepal, Base camp can walk most of trekking trail part and less elevation 4130m last destination but circuit is more driving road walk and high elevation 5416m pass so it is

  4. Thanks Chandra for clarifications. Driving road means walking on the motorable roads?. Talking of Circuit, how many days of travel by motor and how many days walking from Pokhra to Pokhra?.

Base camp: Starting place? How many days travel by vehicle and how many days walk?

    Thanks with best regards
