Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Hi,

I plan to get to Pokhara on 20th March, and start the ABC trek the following day.
I plan to do it in 8-10 days dependant on altitude effects. And would like to stop in on the hot springs on the way back.
I am an average paced trekker, and will have been in Nepal for 3 weeks prior doing a charity project.
I am quite keen to do this without a guide/porter, but if I can not find a companion will hope to find a guide.

Get in touch if you fancy someone to share the experience with.

  2. Hello Rebecca,

i plan to do the ABC-trek as well. I will arrive in Kathmandu on the 19th of March and will leave Nepal on the 4th of April.

I want to do the trek without any guide or porter. I am looking for a trekking partner. I already have some trekking experience but never been in such high altitude.

My plan was to do the trek in around 10 days and spend some days before or after it in Kathmandu. So just text me if you want some further information.

    • Hi andreas, I will arrive in ktm march 17. and could leave ktm the 20 or 21. i am still open which trek to go. I need to be back in ktm april 4 latest. So timewise we would match. My Tendency is more 10 days for the sanctuary. Enjoying nature and people.

  3. Hi Rebecca,

I’m looking for trekking partners myself since I’ll be doing it independently. I’ll be arriving at Pokhara on 19th March and plan to start on the 20th or 21st. My plan is to finish it in 8 days, with Poon Hill as a brief pitstop to catch the sunrise. This will be my 2nd major high altitude trek, Roopkund being the first in 2016.

Drop a word if you’d like to do the trek together.

  4. Hello, Rebecca. I’m looking for company as well to do ABC independatly. I don’t have precised date, I’m quite flexible with the time, you plan seems to me good, so maybe we can do it together?

  6. Hi everyone,

I am in pokhara now. There are avalanches after himalaya hotel as l learn from people. It seems it is very dangerous up there. I talked with a trekker she told me they returned earlier because of avalanches. l talked with an agency today, they confirmed it. I also found a guide. He is nice guy and recomended by a guy at kathamandu. He is nice guy. It is not clear but probably on the friday l will leave with him and try to ABC and hope things will be different when l am at there or change to poon hill trek. As l understand it is not good time to trek independetly, unless you have experience with avalanches etc.

  7. Hi!
I will be arriving in pokhara the 20th and plan to start the trek the 21st or at latest the 22nd. I am a little restricted for time so I will hopefully complete the trek in 7 maybe 8 days. I know it’s pretty last minute but let me know if that would work 🙂
