Annapurna Base Camp Trek

I’m a 27-year-old overworked physician in Colorado, USA and arranged for a 2 week trip to Nepal for mix of trekking and medical-related work with a friend of mine doing work in KTM. I arrive in KTM 4/27 and planning to spend about 4-5 days there before I head to Pokhara solo. I’ve come up with the possibly ill-advised idea of doing ABC in 6-7 days rather than the usual 10-14. Looks like 14,000′ elevation gain over 50 miles round-trip, in Colorado we often do insane things like climbing 5,000′ over 15 miles in a single day (with bad lightning storms, and at higher elevations overall, see attached pic) so I think this sounds relatively doable. This will obviously be a “light and fast” trip, not my favorite thing to do but unfortunately my only option.

If anybody is interested in meeting up or has any words of wisdom please don’t hesitate to contact me.
