Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hey all!

I am doing the annapurna circuit trek in february, and I plan on leaving around the 30th of january from KTM. As the trek starts halfway between KTM and Pokhara, there is no need for me to go to Pokhara first. I have found a really nice guide that speaks English very well and is nice for conversations. He charges 20 USD a day including his food and accommodation. I’m thinking of about 18 days for the entire circuit, including tilicho lake probably. I might do poonhill on my own after that

About me: I have been volunteering in Nepal for 3 months. I have been hiking around Kathmandu, but now I’m excited to finally do some real trekking!

Let me know if you’re interested in joining me for APC. just contact me and we’ll see if our ideas match! (by the way, since I am trekking next week I am not so sure if I can repond quickly, sorry for that! I do have a nepali phone number which I can call with anywhere)

We can call or meetup in KTM possibly a day before starting the trek.

Hope to hear from you!

  1. Hey Leonie,

I am also excited to do the Annapurna Circuit trek and I would also prefer to have a guide!

I am travelling in Nepal from the mid of February to the end of March. The most early time would be the 18. February to start:/

I don’t have fixed plans about the trek but I would like to take easy and not to rush. I am writing you, because our plans sound quite similuar and it sounds like you are a very kind person!

I also do a volunteer work at the moment. Iam an englisch teacher at a Cambodian school.

I hope to hear back from you, also there are problems with the departure date.

    Best wishes
    Lea

  2. Hi Leoni! I’m Óscar and I’m about to start the Annapurna Circuit trekking the 31th february, even thought I would be able to delay it some days if that made it easier for you to join me. Like you, I’ve been volunteering in an organic farm since 12th january, and I’m also going to India after the trekking to participate in some other proyects. I have already hired a trustable portier/guide for 1800 rps, problably I would have hired your guide with you if I had read your post before . Anyway you can join me if you want, I have also planned to eso to Tilcho lake (even thought my guide has told me that the route may not be open because of the snow so he would have to check it when we get to Manang. i have planned fifteen or sixteen days but having a partner to share expenses would make it better to do it in eighteen. Hope you see this soon, anyway wish you a good trekking!

  3. Hey Oscar! I have tried sending you a message before but I think it didn’t work. If you still plan on leaving 31st of january that would be perfect!! I have the exact same plans. I planned on leaving to pokhara tomorrow to meet some fellow trekkers. Are you in Pokhara?

    • Hi! I was there yesterday but I just came back to Begnas Thal. I’m planning to go again to Pokhara the 30th in the morning to plan the last details with the guide and to start the 31st, it would be great then if we could meet the 30th. Anyway I’m going to leave you my phone number to talk by whatsapp if you want, I hardly use to remember to check this page, sorry.

    • Hello!
I don’t know if it’s maybe too late to tell that I also would be interested in the trek you are planing. I’m in Nagarkot now, which is nearby Katmandu. I don’t know which day are you planing to start, but I would try as much as I can to be flexible and join you (if it’s possible).
      Thanks!
