Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hi everybody,

We are Piotr & Pawel from Poland, a gay couple of 9 years looking for trekking partners for part of Annapurna Circuit. We are coming to Kathmandu on 11 October and flying out 28 October. Within these days we want to trek for maximum 10-12 days.

TREK: Part of Annapurna Circuit ending in Jomsom. From Jomsom we want to take a flight or jeep/bus to Pokhara. Starting point to be defined together, but the possible route may look as follows:

Day 1: Kathmandu – Bhulbhule (by bus)

Day 2: Bhulbhule – Ghemru

Day 3: Ghemru – Tal

Day 4: Tal – Chame

Day 5: Chame – Ghyaru

Day 6: Ghyaru – Braga

Day 7: Braga – Manang

Day 8: Manang – rest / acclimatisation

Day 9: Manang – Churi Ledar

Day 10: Churi Ledar – Thorung Phedi

Day 11: Thorung Phedi – Muktinath

Day 12: Muktinath – Jomson

Day 13: Jomsom – Pokhara (flight or bus/jeep)

Also, considering a side trip to Tilichio Lake if time and strenght allow.

LOGISTICS: We will not need any porters nor guides

COST: We are travelling on budget so we will not look for sleeping in the most expensive place. If we have a choice we always settle for more basic conditions.

ABOUT US: We are two Polish guys in their (still-early) 30s, about to resume our Round-The-World trip which had lasted for the whole 2014 and was followed by 2.5 years back at home. Now, we decided it’s high time to hit the road again. We are quite fit. We did trekking in Himalaya before (Mardi Himal), in Pamir, Myanmar and Alps.

  1. Hi guys!
I’m planning to do a part of the Annapurna trek around the same time and with exactly the same route as I won’t have time to trek the whole circuit, so I’ll be happy to join you!

I’m a 28 easy-going and open-minded person (French-Irish), about to travel about 4 months back to India and Nepal (2nd time) and to New-Zealand. I’ve planned to inlude this trek for the trek itself and to visit Chame for personal reasons. So I’m looking for trekking partners: I don’t want to go alone for obvious security reasons, plus this is the kind of experience and really want to share with other people.

For the logistics: I’m about to take my plane ticket, will arrive in Delhi between the 8th and 10th October and arrive in KTM on the 10th or 11th, and will need to be back to India around the 30th October. So I can start the trek on the 12th or 13th, counting a day for the trekking license in KTM. It will be my first trek, but I’m used to hiking in the Alps and I’m a good walker. I’d only need to spend a little more time in Chame (not a whole day but a few hours in daylight). At the end I will stay maybe 2-3 days in Pokhara after the trek.

Cost: I’m also travelling on budget, so comfy-touristy places and hiring a porter are no options for me. I wish to stay in simple places and can live on dhal bhat :). I was also wondering about hiring a guide for safety but it depends on the cost (if fair and shared, why not!).

If you feel like doing this trek together, or have any questions, feel free to contact me!

    Cheers!

    Kelly

    • Hi Kelly, check your PM 🙂

  2. Hi guys!
I’m khloe from Australia but have been travelling and living in Cambodia for the past 8 months. I’m in Nepal from the 12th-28th in route to Spain. I found this website and your post and am so thankful as I was a bit worried leaving it up to fate to find people with similar hike plans to me!
I arrive midday on the 12th, need to buy some trekking stuff and then plan to head to the hike early on the 13th so could meet you along the way?

I’m really flexible and not worried about the route we take or don’t take- I just want to be out in nature! I’ve got a good level of fitness and some experience in shorter hikes also.

Let me know what you think and where we could meet 🙂
    Thanks,
    Khloe
