Nepal

Hi,

Myself and Felicity are looking for others to join us on the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Out flights into and out of Kathmandu are 28/02/17 – 05/04/17 so we are looking at a Trek within these dates. We are still in the early stages of planning so are really flexible, we just want a challenge and to see some amazing views and meet some great people.

We want to take in the Festival of Colours on the 2nd March an head out after that. We have a month in Nepal so willing to go fast or slow.

With regards to porters and guides we are yet undecided, this depends on the group size and peoples competency, we are fairly happy to carry our own luggage and go slower and cheaper or hire porters/guides and go a bit quicker.

I’m a Civil Engineer on sabbatical from work for 10 months and Felicity has just left her job in marketing. We’ve been together 2 years and have decided to travel around (Australia, New Zealand, Nepal, South East Asia, Mongolia and Japan) in 2018. We’re keen to meet others which are keen to get involved in local culture and have company during the trek.

I’ll update this once more information in known, we are looking for another 2 to 4 people ideally, couple and non-couples alike.

  1. Hi Callum and Felicity

I will be arriving in KTM from London on 02.03.18 and am looking for trekking partners that would be interested in hiking the Annapurna Circuit/Base Camp and Tilicho Lake Trek without guide or porter, staying at tea houses. If this interests you please do not hesitate to contact me…:)

    Kind Regards,

    Dipesh

  2. Hi Callum and Felicity…I’m a solo traveller looking to do the Annapurna Circuit Trek in March. I’m very flexible with regards to porters and guides. I only have two weeks (as I work full time, and that’s all my remaining leave for the financial year), but from what I’ve read, that should be okay. I’ve not hiked in Nepal before but I’ve trekked in Peru and the Alps; I wouldn’t count myself as experienced but I am physically fit. Do let me know.

  3. Hi Callum, Pinchas, Dipesh,

I am in Pokhara on 3rd march and planning to start for Annapurna Base camp on 4th March. Have you guys decided how and when are you planning to start ? Would love to tag along with like minded people.

  4. Hi all,

I would also love to tag along in a group– I arrive 25 Feb and depart April 18, so am flexible! Departure March 3-4 would work great for my schedule thus far. The Annapurna circuit is a bucket-list for me and I would like to carry my own gear (but am open to using a porter or guide if that’s the group opinion)!

I’m a student from Texas, USA with a few months to kill before graduate studies– this will be my first long-haul trek but I am very physically fit! Let me know!

  5. Hi everyone,

I’M Laurence from Montreal, Canada. I’m actually travelling in Sri Lanka and will be flying in Nepal at the end of the month. With only one month do visit it all, I’m still trying to figure out what I’ll have time to do, but the AC (may be the 12-14 days trekk) is definetly on my list! Starting around the 4th sounds good to me.

About porters and guides, I would also rather carry my own stuff, but still open to discuss that with the group!

Let me know if anyone wants to meet for a coffee and see if it would fit!

    Thanks,

    Laurence

  6. Hi Callum and Felicity,

I am planning to do the Annapurna Circuit starting after Holi festival, my dates are still flexible during March. I wanted to do it without guide or porter and to do it quite slowly to enjoy the way.
Please tell me if I could join you !

    • Hi! I have quite the similar plan as you do! If you’re still looking for someone to go with or if you’ve found someone and don’t mind an addition to the group, please don’t hesitate to contact me 🙂

  7. Hey everybody,

    I’m Lars from Hamburg, Germany.
I will be arriving in Kathmandu on March 3rd and trying to come as fast as possible to Besisahar. Maybe we can share a fast transfer to Besisahar? I’m also interested in people to join on AC:) Let me know.

    Regards,
    Lars

  8. Hi! I’m Cherine from Finland and will be doing a part of Annapurna circuit as well. I arrive in Kathmandu 28th of Feb (tomorrow!!) and I was planning on heading out around the 4-6th of march and ending my trek in Muktinath or Jomsom.
I’m wanting to not hire porters or guides and take it pretty easy and soak in the views and experiences 🙂
please tell me if there’s still room in the gang!
