Annapurna Circuit Trek

I’m planning a leisurely trek on the Annapurna circuit starting on or around October 21th from Katmandu. I’ll be following the standard route starting from Besisahar and ideally ending up in Ghandruk. I understand there is road construction towards the end of the circuit, so I’m open to ending sooner near Jomsom if needed and catching a flight or jeep back to Pokara.

I’m open to side trip along the way and don’t plan to have a timed itinerary. So, time permitting a Annapurna base camp trek may be added on but my preference is for quality not speed. My only deadline is to be back in Kathmandu by November 14th

I’m looking for people to join part or all of the way. Let me know if you have any questions.

  1. Quality not speed sounds good to me especially if I don’t really know what my body and soul will whisper me above 3.000 m! I will arrive in Kathmandu on Oct. 23 (from Bangkok). Probably need a day to get the permissions and some additional equipment. If you are not in a hurry – let’s talk!

    • Hi Sven,

Sorry for the delayed response, I did not hit the button that sends me emails based on responses. Looks like I now get into KTM on the 20th and will leave on the 22nd or 23rd. Waiting till the 25th may mean I run out of days but lets keep in touch in case my plans change.

  2. Hi Saurabh. I’m also planning to hike starts from 20 or 21 october from ktm upto jomsom slow pace to avoid altitude sickness .

    • Hey Dil, I’ve update my previous itinerary. The earliest I leave will be the 22nd. If that works for you let’s discuss.

  3. Sorry for my late answer but I just left a 10 day silence retreat in the south of Thailand. As I am arriving in Kathmandu on Oct. 23 from Bangkok we will probably miss each other. In case you leave on 25/26 just let me know! Oct 24 might somehow fit as I might get some additional gear and permits on the way. Keep in touch!
    Best wishes!
    Sven

  4. Right now I’m still on track for the 23 but could push for the 24th. Let me know where you end up as we get closer.
