Annapurna Circuit Trek

Hi guys.
My plan is to arrive to Besisahar at Saturday 19th of September, and begin walking this day or the day after.
I’m used to do many sports like triathlon, orienteering, trekking, etc. So my pace will be moderate to high. I’ve been above 4500 meters several times, but I prefer to acclimatize slowly instead of returning back before planned.
I have around 22 days to complete the circuit from Besisahar to Pokhara, so I’m totally open for side trips, even continuing to Annapurna Base Camp at the end of the circuit.

I don’t mind to walk alone, but for security I’m looking for a trekking partner mostly for the difficult passes like Thorong La Pass. I prefer to go with people with my same pace, I don’t mind age or gender. Also I prefer to walk at my own pace for a while and then have several stops to regroup.

I’m a glad, tolerant and communicative person who speaks Spanish and English.

I don’t need a guide nor a porter. I prefer to carry on with my backpack and make my own decisions and select where to eat and where to sleep.

I don’t like to be a tourist but a explorer… so I prefer to be hosted in a teahouse than in a fancy hotel crowded of tourists.

  1. Hey Angel, im in a similar position. I’m looking to trek Annapurna with someone. Im in good shape and consider myself independent. I’m on a budget and prefer to make the trek with like-minded explorers rather than pay a guide/porters (at least for a trek like Annapurna). I’ll be in Nepal in early September and plan on staying for a couple months, let me know if your interested in joining up for Annapurna..

  2. Hi Steve. Yes of course. The way is known and you don’t need so much baggage if you’ll be hosted in tehouses. But is better not to be alone specially for certain stages Thorong La pass, and above 4000 meters.

We can keep in touch until then, I’ll take you into account.

  3. Sounds good Angel, safe travels

  4. hi angel. i’m planning on trekking the annapurna circuit too. I’m not sure about my departure dates yet but i’m planning to do it the latter half of september as you guys. About the pace i guess i can manage as i’m working on it. I can get back to you once i confirm my departure dates if you are willing to take me in. You could use a doctor around

    • Hi Manju. I’ll take the touristic bus from Thamel to Besisahar at Sunday 20th of September. I hope I can start this very day.
Of course you can join, you’re welcome!! Tell me when you know your dates.

  5. Hi!

I’ll update my planning if Steve, Manju or someone more are interested in joining me for that trip at any stage. Those are my expected dates, but I won’t have to follow them as a rule. I’ll be flexible. My idea is to trekk Annapurna Circuit from Besisahar to Ghorepani, and then decide to continue to Annapurna Base Camp if I have enough time and strength, or go to Pokhara:

20/09 07:00 Bus from Kathmandu to Besisahar
    14:00 Trekking AC: Start
    26/09 16:00 Trekking AC: Manang
    01/10 16:00 Trekking AC: Kagbeni / Jomsom
    04/10 16:00 Trekking AC: Tatopani
    05/10 16:00 Trekking AC: Ghorepani
08/10 16:00 Trekking ABC: Annapurna Base Camp
    10/10 13:00 Trekking ABC: Pokhara
