Epic Nepal Adventure :)

Hi there 🙂 I am a 29 year old American gal from Denver, Colorado. I am a family medicine resident physician and I will be in Nepal for 4 wks for some medical volunteer work and would like to do a trek as well. I am looking to do a 1wk-2wk trek. I can keep a moderate pace but would like a partner that would enjoy taking time to enjoy the beauty and culture and not just race up the mountain. I have a good amount of backpacking experience both in the United States, Central America, and New Zealand. I am a fun, laid back lady looking forward to an amazing experience!

  1. Hi,

I have been looking for companions to join my girlfriend and I at crossing the three passes. See my post for more information

I will be arriving in KTM on the 15.03.14 and flying out to Lukla on the 17.03.14 to start the trek. Presently, two other people from trekking partners (1 female and 1 male) will hopefully be joining be me.

Concerning myself. I’m Indian origin, but have been living in the London since I was a child and my girlfriend is German. We are both 40 and easy going and enjoy travelling and are looking for like minded travel companions to join us to make the whole experience even more worthwhile.

    Kind Regards

  2. Meaghann, i am looking to trek from end Feb/beginning of March. Pls refer to Amelia’s thread!
    A 🙂

  3. Hi Tam,
Thanks for your post! I’m so excited about Nepal. That’s awesome that we will be there at the same time. I am interested in a 7-8 day trek maybe langtang? Or helambu? Or gosainkund? Let me know if you are interested and we could plan it more.

  4. Hi Meaghann,

I am very much interested in ebc trek preferably taking the jiri route although I can opt for lukla route also. As of now I am alone and desperately looking for a trekking partner as solo trekking is not allowed there in many parks. I have climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and also been trekking around the Himalayan region of India. If you really want to explore and enjoy the culture of Nepal then jiri route would be good following the footprints of sir Edmund Hillary.
Anticipating your response if you are interested.

  5. Hei!

I am 21 years old girl from Finland and going to Kathmandu between 10-27.3. I will stay about one week in an orphanage, but besides that I don’t have other plans. I would like to do short trek (5-8 days) during my trip. I am going to Nepal alone but for my safety I would rather be there with somebody. If there is any possibility that my plans match to yours let me know! I would be really happy to find travel partner 🙂

  6. Hi Vilna,
I am also looking for a trek btw 5-8 days. It would be great if we could trek together. I arrive in Kathmandu March 2nd and will be volunteering at a local hospital. Let’s try to coordinate a trip!

  7. Sounds perfect!

  8. Hi all, did you sort out trek dates?

I’ll be in Nepal from around about 15th March for about 2 months, hoping to do a two week trek – maybe Annapurna Sanctuary or Manaslu – I’m flexible with the timings. I’m a solo traveller so it would be really great to meet up with others to do a trek, share the experience (and the expense too!).

  9. Not sure if this fits your If plans Meaghann, but if anyone is interested in doing a 2 week trek, preferably Annapurna Circuit but willing to consider others, starting on 5 March then please I’d be really happy to hear from you.

  10. Hi Meaghann ! Take a look at my trip idea, I think that it could interest you and I am very flexible. Peace !

  11. “as solo trekking is not allowed there in many parks”….where did you get this info? I have never heard that and am quite familiar with trekking in Nepal. I was in Nepal thru late Jan, 2014 and this was not in effect nor had I ever heard of it….
