Everest 3 passes

Hello everybody. I’m arriving Kathmandu late on 21st October and planning to bus out to Jiri on 23rd or 24th. Trek from there to take in the Everest 3 passes route in an anti-clockwise direction. The plan is to go releatively slowly and take rest days/side treks/acclimatisation as required. Walk and bus, or fly out at the end as seems appropriate at the time. Flying out of Kathmandu 9th December.
Planning to trek independently using teahouses/lodges the whole time with a budget of about $20 a day whilst on trek.
I’ve done Kilimanjaro, Inca Trail, Alps etc in the past, but nothing so strenuous more recently – the knowledge and experience are there, but it might take my legs a while to catch up!
Will trek solo if it comes to it, but wonder if there’s anyone out there with similar aspirations who might want to join me for some, or all of it as the inclination takes you.
Message me if interested.

Andy

  1. Hi Andy I will be flying in to Lukla on the 29 oct to do the three pass trek but in a clockwise direction, you should be there around the 29 th if you are comming in from Jiri on the 24 th ,maybe we could meet up for the walk to Namche.Dave.Did Everest base camp last nov and am going on to do Mera Peak after the 3 passes.

  2. Hi I’m from India. I should arrive in Nepal b/w 25th-30th. Also planning to do the 3 passes trek without a guide. My budget is similar (though I would like to spend yet lesser), and I’ve plenty of time on my hands. I’m reasonably fast and have recently scaled 5000m passes in Ladakh so altitude is not a problem. Also I’m flexible with my plans, not yet set on a particular trek, but I want to avoid EBC and Annapurna coz I think it might be runover with tourists in the high season. Cheers

  3. Hi Andy

I plan to do 3 passes trek (19 days) from 23 Oct. I have been trekking for the past 4 years and am fairly fit for this one. I think that we can be trekking partners.
