Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek

Below is my planned itinerary. It is a faster pace than some, but not unreasonably so. Ideally would work with two or three people who were a bit faster than the median trail speed, but not total maniacs.

I have built in a bit of time for acclimatization, with the option to rapidly descend if someone wasn’t feeling great after hitting Pheriche.

We don’t need a guide for this route, but I am not against hiring someone, either in Lukla or in Namche. I will be travelling very light.

  1. Hey Ben , I was wondering if we can trek together part of your itinerary. Your itinerary sounds reasonable however I would like to take it slow when we reach Lobuche , that is when we would split

  2. I am hiring a porter because I want to enjoy the trek and I don’t think I can carry my bag all the time . If course i will cover all his expenses

  3. Sure thing. How many people do you have?

Where were you thinking of hiring a porter? In Lukla?

  4. Also, I am not opposed to paying a porter. It is always nice to have help.
