Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek

I am planning to do the Everest Base Camp trek with Gokyo and Cho-La pass. I am a nepali guy, but I would prefer to not do it alone and looking for a group of 2-3 people to trek along.

I have done few treks before so i can adjust to the situation. I do not need guide/porter and just need friends to trek along and those who are happy with backpacking. I suppose 12-14 days will be enough to do the circuit.

Trek starts from Lukla, and i have planned the following-
Day 1: ktm – Lukla, trek to Jorsale
Day 2: Jorsale to Namchebajar (Acclimatization Day)
Day 3: Namchey to Dole
Day 4: Dole to Machermo
Day 5: Macherma to Gokyo
Day 6: Hike Gokyo Ri and to Thaknak
Day 7: Thaknak- Cho-La Pass- lobuche
Day 8 lobuche to GorakShep- side trek to EBC and back to Gorakshep
Day 9: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar and down to tengboche
Day 10: Tengboche to Lukla
Day 11: Fly Back Sweet Home

I hope this is doable and just an initial itinerary for reference- Please advice!

I am flexible with dates after 6-10th October, and be back home for “dashain”, let me know if anyone is interested.

I would be happy for anyone to contact me 🙂

  1. Hello Aakash, i`m Nicolas from Germany and looking for a/some trekkingpartner/s, too. Especially because its my first trek in Nepal. I think our dates would match very good, i`m arriving on 5th october in Kathmandu. But maybe as a Nepal native you are too fast for me. Your plan looks hard for me (danger of mountain sickness). I have more time for travelling. Actually my plan was to start in Jiri, but thats not fixed. Do you have more time for the tour?

  2. if you need more time . i can manage for your self

  3. Hi Nicolas, i have a very tight schedule for EBC.
Our main festival “Dashain” starts from October 13th to 26th. Major festival celebration starting from 20th October, known as “fulpati”, so i will have to be back home (Kathmandu) by/on 20th for the festival.

Do let me know if its do-able for you, or if you have any queries,
