Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek

I am planning to book the Everest Base Camp Trek with Gokyo lake and Chola pass with the company Amigo trekking in October 2016 (Ideally the 17th or around that date) and am looking for people to split the cost of the trek with.

Booking alone costs $1506, compared to $1420 for 2 people or $1349 for 4 people +

Please get back to me if you’re interested.

  1. Hi Megan,

Is your trip date fixed or flexible. I am planning to go for the same trek from 14th November.

Is it possible for you to join me.

I will also go for a package trip.

Please let me know if you are interested.

    Thanks – Susmita

    • Hi Susmita!

I should be able to move dates as i have not yet booked any flights.

Are you also planning to do the Gokyo lake/Everest base camp trek with Amigo trekking?

If so we could definitely combine our booking so that is cheaper for the both of us.

  2. Hi Megan,

    Thanks for your response.

I am planning to go to EBC and Gokyo Lake. If possible I will try to cross all three passes. However, I am not going with Amigo Trekking.

I am going with a very highly experienced mountaineer guide. As it will be a very short group, hence we want friendly people to join us. It would be a packaged trip. I am looking for 1/2 more partners to make the entire plan cost effective and enjoyable too.

Let me know if you are interested to join.

    Thanks – Susmita

    • That is also my plan. Are you planning to sort accommodation once you have reached where you are staying for the night, or will it be part of the cost of the package?

I am very interested in joining you, and finding out more about your plans.

      Thanks, Megan.

  3. Hi Megan,

I have send you all the required details in your TrekkingPartners mail.

    Thanks – Susmita

  4. Hey,
if you’re on a tight budget you should probably try doing the trip individually. It requires a bit more research and a lot less babysitting. Im planning the same thing around october and im planning to camp it out. this is first major solo trek and with flights, equipment, insurance etc all coming under 650 USD. play it smart its a extremely commercialised trail and you’re never really going to be alone while trekking, and solo traveling has a charm of its own.

    Good luck!

  5. Hi Megan,

Are you still planning on doing the EBC/Gokyo Lakes trek in October? I’m looking to split the cost of a guide as well.

  6. If you are interested I am thinking of doing Everest 3 passes which includes Gokyo, Cho la and EBC. I will be going unguided, I have also been in the area before (Gokyo, Cho La, EBC, Kala Pattar, summitted Island Peak). I arrive around the 15th and would look to head to the Khumbu around the 17th or 18th of october.
