Everest Base Camp from mid April’16 (flexible itinerary)

Me and my friends plan to go Everest base camp with a private guide. It will be half-independent trip. We don’t want a baby-sitter, we just need a local guy who knows the route and has experience in mountains. And I have a good friend and experienced guide to join us.
For the moment there are two of us who gonna go. Both of us photographers. And I’m experienced traveller. I’ve been in Nepal few times, and few times did trekking there.
So, if interested contact me for more information and details.

!!IMPORTANT Please don’t follow this post if you’re very strict on your dates and can’t be flexible on itinerary during trekking.

For the moment I’m sure only for 50% about this Everest trek. Waiting for some things to be clear later. Probably I will know for sure only 2 weeks before trip. And seems like I will start later, to reach EBC on 1st May.

p.s. If you guys need some information or contacts in Kathmandu, let me know, I’ll try to help.

  1. Hi Artem, I am interested in joining your trip. In fact I was looking for trekking partners to share a cost of a guide. I am in Nepal at present, do you want to meet and discuss the plans once you get to Kathmandu? Are you just flying here on 11/4?

    • Hey! I’ll be in Ktm by the end of Feb. Let’s meet then. I’ll let you know once arrive.

  2. Sure thing, lets do that. At the end of February I might go to India for a while but I will definitely be back in April? Bth where do you want to start the trek from? Fly to Lukla and start from there? Or Jiri?

    • Let’s see. Depends on tickets price. For now it looks expensive to go by air. Than maybe Jiri better way, if roads will be ok. Keep in touch!

  3. I am planning to trek ECB during april, have couple of experience in High altitude treks, i am will interested to join. Is the start date and itinerary confirmed?
i guess the best way to go there, take a direct jeep to Sallery which is the district headquater of solukhumbu district. cost is around 1500 rs for one way .then 2 days far to go to lukla, compare to other normal itinerary it takes 3/4 days more.

    • Hi Pravin,
Dates are not confirmed as I’ll be in Nepal for 3 months, I don’t want to stick with a date. So it’s more about make it more comfortable for all members.
Also, probably I need to be at EBC around 1st May (+- few days). And the itinerary flexible. As I want to visit places in that area that will be very nice to visit at the moment. Gokyo for example.
And probably we won’t fly to Lukla (it’s quite costly now), so you way to get it area looks good.
So, let’s keep in touch if you don’t need to make plans for exact dates. And I’ll be happy to meet you in Ktm!

  4. Hi Artem, are you in Kathmandu yet? Wanna meet up and discuss trekking plans?
    Regards
    Agne
