Everest Base Camp Trek

Hello!

I arrive in Kathmandu on Jan 30th 2017 and plan to spend 2 or 3 days there before starting the EBC trek. Not sure whether I will fly to Lukla or bus and walk it, but am flexible on that choice.
Along the way, I want to go at a leisurely pace to allow comfortable acclimatisation and also check out the side treks and places of interest along the route.
In terms of cost, I hope to travel quite cheaply and stay in simple tea houses. I’m in Nepal for 2 months and so need to save my money!
I don’t mind going solo, but if anyone is looking to start at a similar time let me know! Would be cool to trek with a companion.
Finally, I can be quite flexible with departure times after the 30th Jan.

Thanks for reading!
Tom

  2. Hey Tom,

I’m a 28-year-old Canadian traveling in northern India at the moment. I’m heading to Kathmandu at the beginning of February (arriving on the 1st or 2nd) and want to get a trek in while I’m in Nepal (had thought about Langtang; only wanted to do EBC w/ a partner or a porter). I’d like to do that trek for a decent cost and would also be open to everything you’ve listed (probably prefer the Lukla flight route but would also be open to the bus/walk route). Let me know if you’re still looking for a partner.

    • Hi Matt,

I’m arriving in Kathmandu on the 4th and am looking for some trekking mates for a shorter trek, the Everest Panorama View trek. It’s 8 days starting and ending in Lukla. Highest point is Tyangboche, so below EBC.
If you’re interested please let me know!
