Everest base camp trek

I am really excited about doing the Nepal Everest base camp hike in late March and early April! I would like to arrive in Kathmandu on 3/26, fly to Lukla on 3/28, and start the trek on 3/28 from there. I would be open to trekking with a group (but haven’t found one yet with that departure), sharing a porter (& guide?) with one or more individual trekkers, or going with other trekking partners without a porter/guide. I am interested in a moderate pace, and I’d like to stop and take some photos. I am thinking that the trek back to Lukla would be completed by 4/8 (14 days), and I’d fly out of Katmandu by 4/10. I haven’t bought airline tickets yet or confirmed with a group. Nepal Hiking Team offers guided treks at $1370 USD including stay at Kathmandu before an after, as long as there are at least two people. I suspect they may be flexible about the Kathmandu part (?)…Anyone interested in trekking together with or without a porter/guide?! Would like to hear from you! Namaste!
Best, Henry

  1. Hi, Henri
I will do Three passes trek (… EBC, Kalapathar, Gokyo …) I am landing in KTM on March 25th and next day taking a flight to Lukla. I haven’t yet trekking partners or porter/guide. Did you consider about that trek and did you buy a ticket to/from KTM?

  2. Hi Predrag!
Thanks for your reply. I haven’t yet bought my ticket to KTM. But the Three passes trek would be too many days for me to be away. And I don’t think I can think I can get to KTM before March 26. Thank you for the offer.
