Everest Base Camp Trek

Hi

We are planing to do the Everest base camp. Departing from Kathmandu 11/01/19 one day more one day less can be also.

We are a couple of 34 and 32, Argentinians both, living between Bali and Spain.

The idea is to do base camp but we are open to other options.

Looking for partner to share guide porter and other cost, and of course have a very pleasant hike.
Our first trek of this kind, so we are not rushing in.
We already now that the weather is extremely cold, and need extra preparation.
If someone’s Interested on base camp or another circuit around nepal please contact me so we can talk about.

  1. Hi, I am thinking to do early January, I have been to Nepal in 2016 and did Ghorepani, I am thinking to hire the same guide I use in 2016 as freelance guide. so far I am solo and looking for travel partners to share the guide cost.
ps: I am 32 yo female

    • Hi Olivia,
      Where are you from ?
Would be great to share the cost, are you thinking on sherpas also?
We are not sure if needed , of course the hike will be more easy and allows to get extras.
We still thinking about going for EBC or just around area an do some mild treks. As I read a lot about the cold weather extreme. Anyway we are still open to that option but will be necessary hire guide and sherpa to help with weight.

      Cheers

      Matias

    • can you make it on 17 to 20th Jan, any dates?

    • Hi Olivia, I’m a solo female traveller, just arrived in KTM and looking to do a trek fairly independently/sharing cost of a guide! Are you still in KTM? Cheers, Emma

  2. Hey Matias, this sounds good! I am in Nepal right now, just did a short trek, Ghorepani/Poon Hill with a friend and it was pretty cold at 3200m but fine staying in teahouses, I am here for another month and looking for people to trek with! Very open to EBC but worried about the cold as well…let’s discuss more on email?

    • I am a 30 year old British woman, have been living in India for the last 8 years and have trekked a fair bit in the Himalayas but never in January (!)

    • Hi Adele!
As you say, looks like it’s going to be freezing at EBC. We contacted a company for hire the order fun guide and they confirmed that.
So we decided to make the temboche trek, for 7 days starting from Lula the 12/01.
Then back to Kathmandu 19/01 and do another 7 days at helambu
