Everest Base Camp Trek

Hello ladies and gentlemen. I arrive in Kathmandu on the 9th of May and leave from there on the 8th of June. I want to do an EBC trek but instead of flying to Lukla I wanted to take a jeep/bus to Jiri and start trekking from there. Preferably I want to start trekking at the earliest on the 11th of may. I can adjust my trekking dates as long as they fit into my arrival and departure dates. Ps. I heard the Jiri to Namche is a beautiful part of the trek and it helps with acclimatization. So I am looking for interesting people who I can enjoy and hopefully share the financial costs of a guide. Thanks!

  1. Hi Francis, sounds like we are about on the same page. I am planning to arrive in Kathmandu by mid May at the latest (want to finish before June). I’m also open to extending trek further to see Gyoko lake. I’m also still unsure about a guide. I would be open to finding an inexpensive one locally but it looks like we are on the same budget or so, and I’ve heard of a lot of people going without. Message me if you’d like to connect and discuss further!

    • PMd you. Yes I can push my hiking days to start on the 15th.

  2. hello francis, is your trek finalized, i will be also interested to join , but will leave earlier on June 6th from kathmandu. what is your itinerary?

    • No final plans yet. Madeleine up top is starting her trip on the 15th. I can do the same since I have a ton of time. When can you start?

  3. Even i would like to join, budget seems great for me!

  4. hi, my starting date can be flexible. have you finalized the plan?

  5. Hi Francis,

I get in to kathmandu on the 11th and leave 8th june also but would like to start trekking by the 15th at the latest. I was thinking to fly in to lukla though. Are you wanting to do this independently? Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss 🙂
