Everest Base Camp Trek and Island Peak

Hello fellow trekkers,

I am Barbara from Austria, 28 old female, and have some trekking and mountaineering experience in the Alps and Nepal. I have been to Nepal twice so far, and trekked in the Annapurna region in April this year.

Now I am planning to do Everest Base Camp trek and Island Peak, starting from Kathmandu to Lukla between 30 October and 1st November 2017. The plan is to do EBC and Island Peak in 15 days. Arrival back in Kathmandu between 13th and 15th November. (Very latest possible dates are 3rd Nov start, 17th Nov end, if needed).

I have a quotes for guides/porter ready to be booked and things pretty much organised. My husband cannot join unfortunately due to work commitments. I still very much look forward to the trek / climb, and I am looking for a trekking partner (or partners to form a small group) so I don’t need to go alone.

Let me know if are interested in joining!

PS. If there is already an independent or organised group out there going to EBC and Island Peak, (or Mera Peak alternatively) during that time that I could join and share costs with, let me know. We could team up for the hike into the valley and the climb, or just for the climb, whatever works best.

  2. Hi Barbara,

I am currently solo and in India doing some guided week long Treks and plan on flying into Nepal the 17th of October to do the EBC. Besides my ticket to Kathmandu I don’t have concrete plans and would be willing to delay my plans to go with the right partner.

    Let me know.

  3. Hi Barbara,

that sounds like what I am looking for! I’m a mid 20s med student from Germany, treking a lot in the alps. Do you already have any detailed plans or itinerary for the trip?
