Gokyo Lakes Trek & Renjo La

Hello,

I am planning to trek the Gokyo Valley trek in early may. This would get me though the different lakes and up to Gokyo Ri. Instead of coming back the same way, I am planning to come back through the Renjo La pass (Then Lumde/Marulung, Thame and then down to Namche Bazaar).

In total this should take about 13 days from Lukla. I am planning to start the trek in Lukla in May 1rst. Following is the itinerary I want to follow.

I am not planning to hire a guide at this point, but I am definitely looking for a trekking partner. Let me know if this is something you would like to do as well. I am opened to a different itinerary (Especially the way back), but I would definitely like to see Gokyo area.

I am 30 from Canada. I am fitted but not necessarily looking to go fast as we take the time to enjoy the culture and scenery around.
Hope to here news from you! =)

  2. Hey Mathieu,

I arrive in Kathmandu April 28th. Are you still looking for people to join you?

  3. Hey Mathieu and Brandon,

Just letting you know I’ll be arriving in Kathmandu tomorrow and i’m looking for people to head up to base camp and Lake Gokyo etc. I’m kinda flexible with dates but would like go around 29th/ 30th April/ 1st May latest. I would quite like to grab a local guide from Lukla airport and negociate a price because theyre only like 15 USD a day split 2 or 3 ways like 5/7 dollars which is not too expensive. Could help us get a better cultural insight maybe?

Again guys im flexible with many things so lemme know if you wanna head out around those dates and we can work something out!
