Helambu Circuit with nice accompany

Doing the Helambu Circuit with a guide. In Lonelz Planet it says it takes around 6 days. I am not in a hurry as I”ll be staying for 3 months anyway. I am a slow but steady walker. It also sayzs that the hotels are very good and that the transport from kathmandu is easy and cheap. it goes up to 3640 m. I am a beginner and a good average when it comes to fitness. I am basicallz looking for one or more nice people who have more or less the same pace and who are not in a hurry but sporty as me. Girls and boys welcome. Age doesnt matter. I look forward to your replies as I really don’t want to go on my own with only a guide. It would be nice to share the money and have some good accompany. starting date flexible. I am already in ktm.

  1. Hello,

Me and a friend star the Langtang trek on the 28th of Feb. We already have a guide and 4WD booked for travel from KTM to Syarubesi. My friend is a first timer and we will doing a slow even pace. Since you’ll be done with your Helambu trek by then, would you like to trek to Langtang? We are two easy going pilots from India and looking to make a group of 4 or so like minded people. For details check my post below 🙂

  2. Hello. I am in KTM right now. I’m planning to trek around the Pikey Peak area west of Jiri starting on Friday (14/2/2014). It’d be great to join up, but if not enjoy Helambu – it’s a very good trek. When I did it I started in Sundarijal up through Gosankunda Lake and over to Kyanjen Gomba – I’d recommend that route if you have the time.

  3. Ramesh – I recommend you start the trek at Sundarijal and then take a jeep back from Syarubesi if you have the time. Syarubesi is a long, long drive from KTM. On the bus it took 9 hours and in a jeep maybe six or so, but it sucks either way and starting in Sundarijal is a 30 minute drive (if that) from the center of KTM.

  4. Hi Nathaniel,

Thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely look it up!!
