Hiking in Nepal in October

Hi there! My name is Pieternel, I’m 32 and I’m living in Amsterdam. I am planning to go hiking in Nepal. I think of Annapurna circuit now, but I am open for suggestions 🙂 I am looking for a small group of people to join me, preferably with a guide and/or porter. I do like to visit Pokhara and Bandipur as I heard those are nice places to be. If you’re interested, send me a message. I arrive in Kathmandu on the 2nd of October and leaving the 29th. Looking forward to everything in between.
Great to meet you!

  1. Hi Pieternel, the timing of your trip lines up with mine. If you would like to compare plans and hopefully book on to the same tour that would be great – and also a lot cheaper if two or more boor. I have been to Pokhara and its a great place so I will definitely be spending some extra time there. Regards Martin

  2. Ciao Pieternel, I am Kathi from Italy and I will fly to Kathmandu at the end of September. Years ago I have been already in Nepal and I did the Annapurna Circuit. This time I would like to do a trekking which is not so overcrowded. I heard that the “Tsum Valley” Trekking it is one of the most beautiful trekkings in Nepal.
Now I am searching an nice, open minded trekking partner for this adventure. If you are interested to get more information, please contact me. Hope to hear from you;-) Take care – Kathi

Arriving at KTM on 9 October then will depart to Besi Sahar then continue to Jagad on 11 October then start trekking. My route is quite confirmed too….Thorung La Pass and side trip to Tilicho lake. Total is around 15 days plus 2-3 buffer days.

  7. Hi Pieternel,

Im planning to arrive around the same time and looking to do the Annapurna Circuit and/or the Manaslu which is supposed to be like the Annapurna 15 years ago ! I have been in contact with a recommended guide but nothing booked yet. Let me know if youre still looking for a group……..

  8. Hi Pieternel,

I am already in Nepal in Pokhara. I am interested in doing the Annapurna Circuit in October. I am free whenever as my volunteeeing finishes at the end of September and restarts at the beginning of November due to the Dashain Festival.

I have been in contact with a local guide that my friends highly recommended to me. He charges a flat fee of US$20 per day which can be dividedby however many people are in the group. He also recommended that it would cost me approximately $25-30 per day for food and lodging. I got quotes with agencies here and they said $55-65 per day. So for me, I would prefer to book directly with the guide and to cut the middleman out. If you are interested in hiking together, let me know.

    Cheers, Linda
