ISLAND PEAK 14th-30th November

Hi buddies,

I keep in touch with several guides from KTM to climb Island Peak Summit from 14th-30th of November.
The lowest price I have found is about 2150 euros/person, so I am trying to find a buddies and/or any cheaper guide to reduce expenses.
I can change these dates slightly in anyone is interested in. If so, please contact me.
I write down the itinerary (standard itinerary 😉 ) which I have been offered.

Day 14/Nov/2015: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) Overnight at Hotel.

Day 15: shopping day or city tour or do some shopping for trekking and climbing equipment. (1,300m/4,264 ft) . Over night at Kathmandu.

Day 16: Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft) & trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft), 3-4 hrs

Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft), 5-6 hrs

Day 18: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Day 19: Trek to Tyangboche (3980m/12884ft), 5-6 hrs

Day 20: Acclimatization day at Dingbuche

Day 21: Trek to Lobuche (4,928m/16164 ft), 5-6 hrs

Day 22: Trek to Gorakshep (5,160m/16,929ft) & hike to Everest Base Camp(5,320m/17,450ft), 5-7 hrs

Day 23: Early hike to Kala Pathar ( 5,550m/18,204ft) and trek to Dingboche (4,358m/14,295 ft), 7-8 hrs

Day 24: Dingboche to -Island Peak Base camp (5,200m/17,060ft), 3-4 hrs

Day 25: Island Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5,600m/18,372ft), 2-3 hrs

Day 26: High camp to summit (6,189m/20,305ft) to Chhukung/, 8-10 hrs

Day 27: Trek to Namche (3,440m/11,283ft), 4-5 hrs

Day 28: Trek to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), 6-7 hrs

Day 29 Fly back to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Day 30: Departure from Kathmandu

About the cost:

Cost per person: 2150 Euro ( if two person cost will be less)

Service includes.

All the ground transportation by car pick and drop both airport.

Two night Standard accommodation in Kathmandu at three stars level with breakfast.

Meals on full board (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) in trekking with hot drinks tea and coffee for you. Sample of the Menu

Local seasonal fresh fruits.

All accommodations during the treks.

Everest Trekking map.

Domestic flight tickets from Kathmandu/ Lukla/ Kathmandu with airport tax.

An experienced government licensed holder trekking guide.

Food, drinks, accommodation, insurance, salary, equipments, transportation, local tax for Guide.

All necessary camping gears like two men tent, kitchen tent, kitchen equipment, mattress while climbing period.

Group medical supplies (first aid kit will be available).

All necessary paper works and national park entry permits.

Climbing permit.

Climbing equipment like ice axe, Ice crew, snow bar, climbing rope potter/climbing guide/potter during the climbing pried.

Travel& Rescue arrangement.

TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System).

All government taxes.

Meals whilst in Kathmandu.

Nepal entry visa.

Tips for trekking staff (Tipping is expected, but it is not mandatory).

  1. Hey Laura I’m in the process of organising an expedition too island peak, gokyo peak and chikungri, from the 25th of November til the 15th of December,
    The trip is guided with guide Kaji Sherpa (very experienced, still climbs with the likes of Tim McCartney snape and world expeditions.) trip is all inclusive from Kathmandu.
    I’m looking for 3 other people which would make the cost less than $2000 USD per person.
