Jagat/Chamje/Syange to Jomson

Hello everyone,

I am Bastian, 33 years old and I am from Germany. My hobbies are sports, reading, tv series and trekking.

In autumn 2016 I would like to make my first longer trekking tour outside Europe and I am interested in a very small group. It makes more fun and the costs are deeper. I am an average trekker, so no expert, but also not a newbie.

I would like to make the following things:
* starting in either Chamje or Syange
* using all natural trails (Ngawal, Ice Lake etc.)
* 4 days side trip to the Tilicho Lake (4900m)
* trekking until Jomson
* optional: if you want to continue trekking feel free, but I would like to drive to Pokhara for two days of sightseeing, after that two nights in Chitwan National Park and two days of sifghtseeing in Kathmandu

I have identified good trekking agencies, because it is my first journey and thats why I will go with both a Guide and Porter. But its not expensive 🙂

I will arrive in Kathmandu on Monday 24th of October and will start with driving with the bus from Kathmandu to Syange/Chamje on Tuesday, 25th in the morning.

My flight back to Europe will be on Tuesday 15th of November.

If you have got any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Best regards

  1. Hey! Your time line seem to match perfect with mine. I will arrive in Kathmandu on Oct 23 and depart on the 18th. I also have never done an extensive hike like this. I’ve done up to 3 day treks before so am alps not a newbie. How many people have joined your group so far?

I will have just completed a yoga Teacher training in India and will be incorporating a daily practice.
How much is the guide going to cost?

  2. Hello Bastian! I’m thinking of doing either a part of the Annapurna Circuit or go to the Mustang trek. Are you still looking for trek partners?

  3. Hi all. I would also like to do the treck starting 24th or better 25th from besishar or further north. If you are still in Kathmandu we could meet up and discuss the plans.
Happy to hear from you, Chris
