Joey’s Journey- join me for a while

Im hiking across America which should take about 6 months at 15-20 miles per day. In order to be able to take breaks for up to a week i will add in some biking to cut down on my 6000 miles of walking (the trails are windy hence 6k instead of 3k. Im leaving in mid march from Delaware to San Francisco stopping in Pittsburg(ish), Columbus, Tough Mudder in Mansfield OH, Indy, St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake, Reno, Sacramento, and then San Fran. If when I get to the Pacific coast and im still hungry for wandering, Imight skateboard down the coast to LA or SD.
I am not taking on anyone to come with me for the entire length but I’d love to meet up with other trekkers along the way for stretches. Please let me know if you’re interested in meeting up along the way or if you can help me find couchs to stay on or if you have tips or encouragement

  1. I’m looking to do something crazy come march as well. I’ve thought about doing the pacific crest trail because that is fairly close to where I’m at. How much money do you have saved up for this trip? I have most everything I need for camping and have done some research into getting high calorie low weight foods for extended periods of trail.

I’d be interested in hearing more about you plans, definitely shoot me a reply.

  2. Joey- if possible, let me know your dates for kc, st. Louis, and LA. I may be able to offer a place to stay depending on where I am. Happy travels!
