Jordan Trail

Hello there,

I’m looking for partners to join me on the Jordan Trail in February 2017.

I plan to hike 2 sections of the the trail: Dana – Petra (4 days / 76km) and Wadi Rum – Aqaba (4 days / 64km). The first section (Dana – Petra) was recently named by National Geographic as one of the fifteen best hikes in the world.
In between these 2 hikes I plan to spend a day or two exploring Petra; world heritage site. There is an approximate 100km distance between Petra and Wadi Rum, which we’ll travel by local transport. The corresponding trek would be 7 days, which is outside my time schedule. After the trek I plan to spend a few days in Aqaba on the Red Sea.

Wild camping will be the main type of accommodation during the treks, although more comfortable accommodation will be available at trail heads/tails.

Please have a look at the website http://jordantrail.org and let me know if you’d be interested!

  1. Hi Ina,
We plan to do the Dana to Petra trek in April so we won’t be able to join you on this one I’m afraid. We also plan to Wild camp along the four days of the trail. If it not too much trouble, could you provide some links to the resources you found about this section? Some websites say that a guide is compulsorary? Some say that wild camping is not allowed. It’d be great if you could share your research.

    Thanks!
