Langtang and Helambu

Dear All

Looking to set off for a few weeks in Langtang region on 24th March, ideally starting with Tamang Heritage trail followed by Gosaikunda lakes then Helambu trek.

Previously trekked the Annapurna region (twice ’97 and ’12) and also Everest region (’12), but not currently trek fit!

Looking to meet up with other travellers on route.

  1. Hi, I am in Nepal all of March, starting out doing the Poon Hill trek with my bro but then he has to go home and im going solo ! Im planning on spending a few days in Pokhara, followed by some white water rafting and canyoning and then up to a week in the Chitwan National Park but I really want to end my trip with a trek to Gosaikunda.

I have a degree of flexibility but ideally looking to travel up to Dunche (?) or Syabrubesi (?) on March 22nd from Kathmandu to start my trip. This gives me about a week before I need to get back to Kathmandu on the 30th ready for flight home on the 31st

I want to trek slow to avoid altitude sickness and because I wont have my brother to carry my pack lol !!! Im not set on an exact route but maybe from dunche/Syabrubesi to Sing Gompa then to Lauribinayek and finally to Gosainkunda before heading back

Company on any part of the trek would be nice but what Im really looking for is people to share the cost of a 4×4 or private car transfer from Kathmandu (and back) to avoid a slow and painful bus journey !

    Maaike-Rose x

  2. Hi Maaike, apologies for my late reply, unfortunately my start date is quite fixed, I hope you have a great trek anyway.

FYI…I think the deluxe bus is a bit of a cheaper alternative to a jeep
