Manali

Hello everyone,

I’m doing an internship here in Himachal Pradesh. It will end in the beginning of October. Then I have time to travel in the Himalaya for 3 weeks.
I want to climb some higher mountains (some technical ones), but without using an agency. (But maybe hiring one guide) For this I am looking for adventurous people who want to join me and have mountaineering experience.
I am flexible about the area. But the best would be in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand or East-Kashmir. West Nepal is also ok.
I normally do sportclimbing, but have also some ice climbing and mountaineering experience.
If you want to know more details send me a message 🙂

  1. Servus Simon,

    Benedict

  2. Hello Simon,

A couple of us are interested. We’ve not done any technical climbs to speak of but we’ve summitted a few 6000m peaks. Do you have any peak in mind? We know guides based in Manali and Uttarkashi with whom we can plan an alpine style attempt.

  3. Hey Simon, I am planning to go to Ladakh but I am interested in easy mountaineering treks also. Have you guys decided what trek you are planning to do?

    • Hello Neha, two of us are going to attempt some peaks in Solang valley starting Oct 2. We’ll start with Friendship/Shitidhar. I’ve done Friendship peak in Apr earlier. We’ll try without a guide this time. Since we are planning to spend 7-10 days we’ll hire a porter to carry our food up to base camp.
