Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley

We’re a group of three (2 Brits and a Canadian) looking for a fourth person to join us on a 20 day trek around Manaslu and Tsum Valley starting April 1st.

The price per person (based on 4 people) is $495 for guide, permit accommodation and private jeep to the start of the trek.

Two of us are also planning on continuing along the Annapurna Circuit to Jomsom which will add another week to itinerary. We won’t use a guide for this section.

Please get in touch if you’re interested. It would be great to have a fourth person to share the adventure with and we’re keen to book the guide asap!

Juliet, John and David 🙂

  1. Hi
I’ve been following various threads and it seems like many people would rather do an early April start? (David, Joey, Padam) I wouldn’t be opposed to that and I haven’t booked a flight. They also seem to be less interested in Tsum Valley. What do you think? Do you know anyone else considering Mid March? I need to read up a bit on the weather that time of year

  2. Hi Jamie, I haven’t had any responses from anyone about going in mid March. Would be fun in some ways to be in a bigger group although I think the weather gets cloudier towards the summer monsoon. I’ve trekked in Nepal in February (still cold) March (pretty good and April (thick cloud most afternoons). What would you prefer?

  3. hey!
i will check with Padam to see if he is interested to do Tsum valley instead of the AC.
Joey also seems to be willing to do it, although i doubt i will have enough time if he is on a tight schedule.

like i said, my schedule is quite fixed since i cannot move it outside of april due to my professional engagement.

  4. Hello every body if you need help for yours trekking in Nepal contact me i can help you

  5. Hi everyone.
You must all be pretty excited about hiking in Nepal. I was hiking the Annapurna range last year and it is really spectacular. If you guys are looking for a guide I feel the need to recommend mine. His name is Siri and he’s by far the most experienced hiking and trekking guide I’ve ever met, with over 25 years of experience across Nepal, Bhutan and India. If you guys are interested in getting his perspective just let me know and I can connect you guys.:)
Best of luck planning the rest of you’re hiking.

  6. Hi Juliet,

I am thinking of doing the trek around the same time. Do the dates still stand? I am flying in from California on the 14th of January. I would love to join you guys. Do let me know.

    Thanks,
    Aditi

  7. Hi Aditi, I couldn’t find anyone to trek with in mid March so I’m thinking of going with two guys to Manaslu and Tsum starting 1st April. What are your dates in Nepal? You’re welcome to join us if the beginning of April works for you -it would be nice to have another female! If not, I haven’t booked a flight yet so I still have some flexibility. 🙂

  11. Hey everyone
Just reading this makes me want to hike around Nepal again.
I was hiking around the Annapurna region last August which was just spectacular. I thought you guys may still be looking for a guide, and I couldn’t imagine recommending anyone else than Siri Pokhrel.(siripokhrel@hotmail.com) I have yet to meet a more experienced guide while trekking. With 25+ years Hiking Nepal, Bhutan and India he knows exactly what he’s doing and is a nice guy as well. He can go to any location to meet you guys and he’ll can tell you whats best.
If you guys are interested in chatting with him about the hike then just email him on the address above.

I hope you enjoy your trip.
    I’m sure ye’ll love it.

  12. Hey, I would like to join you, are you still looking for someone to trek?
    Let me know!

    • Hi Fernanda! You are very welcome to join us and it would be great to have another female! 🙂 If you give me your facebook or email address I can send you the details of the trekking company we’re using. We’ve just paid our deposits ($100) this week. 🙂

  13. Hello Juliet,

My girlfriend and I are also looking to trek the Manaslu circuit in the beginning of April. Unfortunately there are 2 of us (and you only require 1) and we only land in Katmandou on the 4th. But out of curiosity, what company gave you a price of 495$ for a group of 4? I would love to contact them.

    Thank you so much.

    Timothy

    • Hi Timothy and sorry for my slow reply. We found our guide through manaslucircuittrek.com. I think they’re called Magical Treks. 🙂

  14. Hello,
I’m going to start my trek around Manaslu with Tsum also around the 1. of April. I want to do it alone and I already have a guide. It is needed to be at least a group of 2 to get the permits. Is it possible to join you just for getting the Permit for Manaslu and Tsum? I arive in KTM the 30.03. Please let me know. Thanks.

  15. Sorry to hijack… any latecomers interested in 16 day Manaslu Circuit starting March 27? Guide (or porter-cum-guide) only, to share costs. Cheers!

  16. Hey 🙂
I’m planning to do also the manaslu and tsum valley. I’m lending in Kathmandu on 28.3 . Is anyone still looking for partners?

    • If you just want the Permit, we can orgenise it together. If you are looking for somebody to trek with, I’m not the right one. But mostley you find people to walk with on the way…

  17. I’m in Nepal Juliet! Have messaged you on Facebook. Currently on my yoga teacher training with aspirations to trek after. Finish here in Kathmandu on the 11th April. Be in touch x
