Mera Peak

Hi Everyone,
I’m planning a hike up to Mera Peak – 6476 meters. I plan to organise the trek myself and would be hiring a guide and a porter – either from Lukla or Khare.

This is early to be posting as I intend to do this around late August or early September but I want to throw it out if anyone’s interested.

This would be my second trek in Nepal, the previous one being EBC in 2016.

This is going to be a budget trip – self organised – teahouse – local guides and porters – so as to give the money where it should go as opposed to western companies outsourcing the same. Hopefully keeping the budget well under USD 1500.

I’m flexible in dates and also open to suggestions from anyone who’s hiked up to Mera Peak.

Cheers
Uttam

  1. Hi Uttam , I am Planing For PIN PARWATI PASS TREK ( parvati valley – spiti valley – 8-9 days – approx 100kms trek) (Date: on June 2018 , date can be flexible according to weather condition)

Plan: – Not to go via any company but arrange on own. I’m wondering if 3 more people can join in. Idea is, we can hire 2-3 porter.

    Why?

*This way it will be very cheap per day cost 3 porter 500 Rs *3 = 1500. From travel companies it cost around 25-30k even more per person.

It will not be a luxurious trip. We need to carry some laguage and provide help in bedding and cooking if required. Feels good…right?
