Mera Peak, Looking to share costs and adventure

Hi! I’m planning to climb Mera Peak in November this year. The problem is that I’ll be travelling alone, and it’s an expensive proposition for one person. I’ve been in touch with an agency in Kathmandu but haven’t actually booked anything yet. My dates are pretty much fixed — I’ve got from Nov. 7 – 29 to do the trek/climb. I’m not picky about which approach to use; going to EBC first seems to be the most popular option among trekkers but not among agencies… I’ve been to Nepal several times and have trekked to EBC twice before, so I don’t feel a strong need to go that route, but I also love that region so I’d be more than happy to go again…

So, is there anyone out there who’d like to join me on this adventure? Or anyone with a trip already planned who’d be willing to let me join them??

  1. Hi! I’ve been looking for a climb at Larkya Peak close to Manaslu trek but no luck with partners. Are you still in for Mera? Would you consider Larkya? Have you got tent-ropes and other gear?

I am Joan, male, 44, from barcelona, with experience in 6000s in Peru, and it is my first time to Nepal and the Hymalaias.

Please feel free to contact me here or on my email I am currently in Katmandu.

  2. By the way there are a few people in for the Manaslu trek, so we could join them on our way to Larkya La , the 5200m mass where we should deviate, and share guide costs etc. For larkya we need to set up one altitude camp, so we need camping gear.
