Mt. Everest Base Camp

Hello Fellow Trekkers,

Currently I have a solo adventure planned from Jiri to the Mt. Everest Base Camp from April 24-May 21; I would love if it turned into a small group adventure.

The game plan is to fly into Kathmandu April 23, and then hang in Thamel for a couple days to get permits. After that take a bus to Jiri and from Jiri do the 4-5 hike to Lukla instead of flying into Lukla in order to acclimatize and build stamina for the rest of the trek. Plus I hear that this walk is beautiful as it hits many farming villages in the lower Himalayan region.

Once at Lukla I was thinking about potentially finding a guide. The only reason I would want a guide is if a small group of people wanted to the the Gokyo Lakes and Cho La Pass and then continue onto Kala Pattar. If I don’t find a guide then I’ll likely just do the most straightforward path to Kala Pattar. This is just a general plan and I’m sure things will change along the way, as they always do.

Anyhow, it would be great to have a hiking buddy. Shoot me a message if you are interested or intrigued 🙂

  1. Hi. Have similar plans. Can join in from lukla. I am a solo trekker.
Let me know if you would be interested.

  2. Sorry I can’t join for your trip; I’m flying to Lukla on 23rd; got my tickets already !

I’m also doing Island Peak; would be cool to do a group trek.

    • Hi jamie. Are your plans still the same ?
