Kia Ora
I’m a fairly fit Kiwi chick who is currently working in China as an outdoor guide.
Flying into Nepal mid November for a kayaking expedition then white water festival but wanting to hit the hills throughout December.
Wanting to do a epic independent expedition on a low budget with no guide over the Xmas and new year period before moving onto India.
Let me know if you have any awesome plans that could include another….

  1. Kia Ora!

Also fairly fit kiwi chick…(working in Wellington). My current plan (contingent on getting leave approved) is to go into the Manaslu area and Tsum Valley for a month or so…beautiful trek and really low tourist numbers. Though you need permits and a guide to get in. I am pretty flexible though, and open to other ideas! I am also keen to go overland from Delhi through Varanasi on the way in, or on the way out, depending on timeframes. Hoping to leave NZ early December so could be in Kathmandu around Dec 8 or just after.

Let me know if you want to talk more 🙂

    • Oh wicked, kiwi minds think alike haha
On tight budget so trying to skip the ol guides if possible.
I’m keen on a big mission and explore and dates are pretty flexible as well, mid would Dec would be pretty ideal.
Add me on Facebook, easier for contact.

  2. Hi!

I’m going to be in Nepal at the same time (8th – 29th December) and would be really keen to do a trek somewhere like the Manaslu area.
Have you guys made any more plans that could include another person?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    • Hey James. Kates heading over mid December I think and moving on mid Jan. I haven’t really planned much tbh. Leaving to Kuala Lumpur 25th so will need to be back by 23rd, don’t really know whether I want a super long trek as I wanna kayak as much as possible. Id be keen to meet up at least if we don’t hit the track together.

      Add me on facebook yeah.

    • Awesome, yea I arrive on the 14th, and probably looking to do a 10ish day trek now, so I think Manaslu might be a bit long? But nothing is set in stone yet…Langtang also looks pretty cool. I am probably not going to organise too much before I get there, but we could always meet up if you are around then also?

    • Hi,
I was hoping to do something slightly longer (around 15 days) so I think I’m going to try and still do Manaslu and I think you’re right that 10 days isn’t long enough. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll let you know though and it would be great to do a trek around Langtang – it looks awesome as well.
Either way, hope to see you in December!
