Nepla (Annapurna Circuit)

Hi there future trekking partner/s.

I am planing to hike Annapurna Circuit , I would like to find partner/s to hike and explore with me. I plan to hike from tea house to tea house , with probably without the use of a guide.

Reason why I decided not to use a guide, as I don’t wanna rush, basically I have time of almost two months to explore Nepal, in many aspects, months of March and April and it could be a bit of May.
So I am very flexible with tossing dates around.

Ideally I would like to set off around first week of March, and see how far we can get in a day without having to rush, I am very open mined, respectful and of course funny, so there for I would like to join or find respectful hiking partner.

I have put Kathmandu as the starting and finishing point, as it would be ideal to meet up in the city for a day or two to get to know each other prior to setting off, But this of corse is flexible.

Looking forward discussing more in details.

Eli

  1. Hi Eli!

I’m in Nepal from 30th January to 27th March.
My plan is to go to Everest Base Camp first, then return to Kathmandu, and then do the Annapurna Circuit.
So I can start Annapurna Circuit at the beginning of March.
I also would like to take it easy, without a guide, and stay in tea houses.
I have to be back in Kathmandu for my flight on 27th March.

Are you still looking for a partner?

    Tom

  2. Hi Tom,

    Thanks for reaching out,

Yes sure, I am still searching out for a partner, There are two more persons that l stared to comunícate with, to team up, so it could be we have a nice crew building up 🙂 I will forward you more news from them as soon as go more into details.

I will be in Nepal from begging of march and as of now I don’t plan to hire a guide, but I’m flexible when it comes to it.

As soon as I get some news from the others we can start to build up a plan, let me know if you still up for it?

    Looking forward hearing from you,

    Best

  3. Hey Both!
I am very glad to see these posts, and hope that you guys might have place for an extra person in your group?
I was also planning to walk the Annapurna circuit in the month of March. (I haven’t booked my plane yet, so it will depend on when the cheapest prices are, but I am thinking to arrive in Kathmandu in the last week of februari or the first week of March. And I would have to be in Oslo by the 6th of April) That would give me 1 month the time to walk the trail and I want to be free to take my time, do side treks etc.
So it seems that you guys might have the same mentality as my! 😀
Do you guys already have some details worked out? Would you be willing to welcome me in your group?
Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions! 😉

    • Hi Annelies,

I had to change my plans a bit, as I will have to fly to Japan on 23rd of March and back to Kathmandu on 4th of April, so basically I have time of 22 days to do so, not sure that I will join the group that I was planing originally do to my changes of plan.

As they set of 10th of March and I will most likely set of on 3rd of March.

If you interested to join in the group that sets of 10th of March, Rikke is the girl to get in touch, if there is still some spots available.

In any case let me know what you have decided.

      Best wishes,

      e

  4. Hi Eli,

I am planning to do the Annapurna Circuit trek as well.
I am travelling in Nepal from the mid of February to the end of March.

I also would like to set off around the first week of March and I would like to take easy and not to rush. About the route I am more spontaniously and open for the plans of others. I am a very funny and open person, and your post sounds very similuar to my plan.

I think it is a great idea to meet first in the city to get to know each other!

I hopt to hear back from you and that there is a place for me in your group!

    Best wishes

    • Hi Lea,

Will copy the message that I wrote to Annelies.

  5. Hi everyone!
I aim to finish the three passes trek and be back in Kathmandu at the beginning of March, so could join to do the Annapurna Circuit – maybe leaving on march 2nd or 3rd?

We should set up a facebook group!

    Tom

  6. Hi eli,

For me it would be better to set of at the 3. March:) So you are still searching for a partner?

I decide that I prefer to do the walk with a guide because I talked to volunteer who is working in Nepal. She said you can do the trip also spontaniously and like you want and sometimes they know very nice places to trek. Moreover it is just more safe when you are not experienced in such areas.
I found a organisation that pay fair wages to their staffs. So they have insurance, medical allowance, they have provident fund, salary, and their food and accommodation are provided during the trek. The cost would be 30 dollar a day.
I think if we can share the price together or even with more it isn’t much money:)
What do you think about this? I am still open to do it in a different way:)

Hope to hear back from you;)

    Kind regards
    Lea

  7. Hi Eli
any chance I could still join your group? 🙂 it looks like it would be at least 3 or 4 of us, right? I was thinking as well of starting at the beginning of March and (maybe) no guide, but I’m pretty flexible about it. Please let me know, see ya 🙂
