Pin Parvati Pass

I’m planning to be in Manali first for some trekking, and then hopefully Ladakh in July. I’m not 100% of dates yet, I just know I’d like to be there from maybe the end of June, all through July and the first part of August.

I’m currently eyeing up the Pin-Parvati pass (I’m slow uphill and even more so at altitude but I made it to Everest Base Camp and back) to start around mid-July. I’ve heard it’s epic, so I’m thinking fully guided through an agency at an all inclusive price, but I’m open to suggestions.

I’m also thinking perhaps renting a motorcycle to ride the “highest motorable road in the world” in Ladakh, though it’s been a long, long time since I rode a motorcycle so I need to get some confidence up first.

If anyone is keen for some trekking, or some other activities, or even if you just want to hang out for a beer, give me a shout 🙂

  1. Ha haaa … nobody has replied to your post. I guess yours just isn’t as good as mine.

  2. Hi Claire!

    Hope you are well.

Since a friend and I are new at this, we are planning to trek through the Hampta Pass. Some say it is just the perfect combination of sceneries that one can witness on a trek, amalgamating pine tree forests, vast green pastures, barren land and the chilly river with the perfect view of the majestic Himalayas.

It will be about a 4 day trek and the dates we have in mind are around July 18/19, 2015. If you are around at that time in Manali, would be great to hang out for a beer. It is a beginner’s trek, but you are most welcome to join if you’d like.

    Cheers
