Sapa trekking, northern Vietnam

Hi, we are planning a trip to Northern Vietnam and want to do a trek to summit Mt Fanispan – the last significant Himalayan mountain and a trek round the Sapa region. We are travelling with Active Travel, the supply food, tents, equipment and a guide for the 10 day trip including trains to and from Hanoi for $723. At the moment it’s just us two girls but we’re keen to travel in a group – also the more that come, the cheaper it will be for everyone. We are going on 31st March 2014 so if you’re in Vietnam around that time and are interested then let us know.

  1. Hi
    Good luck with finding patners!

I’d love join you but I arrive on September next month

    have a blast

  2. Thanks, you too!!

  3. Is it a technical climb? and how many days?

  4. Hi

No it’s not technical, but it’s steep in places and requires abit of scrambling. There’s also a section that goes through jungle. I think it’s quite demanding but if you’re fit and used to hill walking it should be fine. The summit trek is 3 days and we’re planning to spend the other 7 treking around the local area
