Three Passes Trek

I’m looking to trek the Three Passes throughout the month of June 2019. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. No experience necessary! I have yet to decide whether I’d fly or hike out to the trek, but I’m open to suggestions.

Feel free to provide input on how you want to complete the trek, however I want to do this independently (no tour guide).
I’m moderately experienced with hiking in this region, as this will be my third independent Himalayan trek, so I believe independently hiking this route is feasible. I’ll put together a detailed itinerary once we get closer to the hike date.

What you need:
Strong mentality (this is one of the more challenging Nepal treks, so you’ll need to push your limits at times)
An open mind and an attitude centered around having fun rather than completing the trek on time (although if we can do both that’s great)
Snacks! There will be quite a few snacks breaks at scenic points along the way. Leave some space in your pack for snacks

Budget:
However much it costs to buy those delicious Momo’s and Dal Bhat.
We’ll be staying in teahouses ideally.

Final note…if you speak Chinese, I may ask to practice my mandarin with you 🙂

  3. Hello Marc
My name is Jamie and im from New Zealand, iv been thinking about doing this for awhile and cant wait. Iv been trying to look for some info about doing this in june but I cant find much, I can only do this in June due to my job, time isn’t a problem for me as I have organised 6 months off, but I will be in better physical condition at the start of my holiday hence june. I have a fair amount of trekking experience in New Zealand and have done a few smaller treks in Italy. Are you open to me bringing a porter? id prefer a lighter pack so I can enjoy the trip a little more but I do like the idea of a challenge and would consider it without a porter, I am planning on hopefully leaving a bunch of stuff in KTM since ill have a decent amount of stuff for my 6 month trip. Have you trekked in June in Nepal before?
