Three Passes Trek (Flexible)
My name is Jairo, I am a 20 year old undergraduate student from New York City.
On May 28th I am flying to New Delhi (have a one-day layover in London.) There, I am dropping off some stuff, then taking a bus to Kathmandu on the 31st.
From Kathmandu, I intend to attempt the Three Passes trek independently, though I am open to alternative routes if someone is planning a similar trip around the same time.
I intend to follow a pretty standard itinerary, taking roughly three weeks from start to finish. I usually keep a moderate pace, but I have minimal experience at 5000m+ altitude, so I will do what is comfortable. I am happy to accommodate anyone who prefers to travel at a slower pace.
I am confident in my physical ability, but on some of the high passes it might be nice to have a buddy or two, and company can never hurt.
I will have crampons and an ice axe with me if anyone is interested in attempting some of the non-technical peaks nearby, like Dolma Ri, though I need to do a bit more research to determine exactly what is permissible with the basic park and TIMS passes.
If you happen to be traveling to Nepal around roughly the same time shoot me a message, maybe we can work something out. I am somewhat flexible with my dates because I have until the end of July to spend between India and Nepal.
