Upper Mustang Trek

Plan is to get a guide and the permits and explore this restricted, rain-shadow and mystic part of the Himalayas in second half of August – starting 14-17(as I have to be back in Delhi by 30 August.)

The time slot is the only rigid part about this plan, I’m fully flexible as to the pace and detours. I love to pause and stare at the mountains a bit too much I guess. 🙂

Have been doing moderate level treks every year for a decade now, last year it was Stok Kangri. Have done Gosaikunda lake in Nepal.

  1. I am landing Delhi on 10th of August and then flying to Kathmandu on 12th of August; I have return flight to Delhi on 1st of September. So my dates pretty much match with yours, and I wish to explore the upper mustang area as well. Please let me know further details if you have figure out the plan; My idea was to reach Kathmandu and look for a group for upper mustang.

  2. Hi Gurjeet, perfect, for Upper Mustang, we must get a guide and permit from a trekking company based out of Nepal. I have requested one for a quote; will get back to you on the exact cost that we must share.

We can meet in Pokhara on 14 August to start the journey.
