Chaddur & Monasteries

Do explore beyond the iced river

The Chaddur or frozen river is a well known trek. Though difficult, it’s quite predictable and safe. It’s also stunning. Yet, all trek agencies offer a round trip trek. I wanted a loop and the idea of returning the same way wasn’t ideal to us. We then did the 14 days walk over the river to the town of Lingsehd. From there we cross the col to the Zanzibar valley by foot. Lots of snow but stunning scenery. We walked 6 more days back to the road.
