Langtang trails, G. Kund and Nepal

Keep the positive thinking, smile often and go straight ahead!

Trip to the beautiful Langtang N.P., north Nepal in Spring 2014. Travelled with exceptional and helpful guide and learned about the Nepali culture, while visiting the breathtaking Himalayas.

It was one section of my extended travel through the Indian sub-continent that lasted for 2 months. Indeed, i have enjoyed every moment of it. 🙂

Despite the overwhelming experience with the shops of the Kathmandu Thamel district, which were overpriced for western trekkers, I was happy to see the mountains in few days after.

Tiresome from the 8 or 9 hr. bus drive from Kathmandu was not so noticeable as soon as we started to ascend on the Lantang trails from Shyaphru. It was only a start of the 10 day route to Kyanjin Ri (Tserko Ri) and to Goisain Kund trekk and back to Dunche.

On the way have tested the high-altitude resistance as well resistance to sickness, flue and strong winds.

Once on the Gosain Kund, have witnessed the heavenly nature and sweet scent of the 3000 m. high forest and wild flowers. Despite the winds, the Gosain Kund lakes revealed majestic beauty, as well the nearby snow-covered peaks of over 5000 m. altitudes. Passing the Shin Gumba twice, time had sliped very fast and so was our descent.

Soon there was the bus back to Kathmandu and the Langtang adventure was only in memories and on the .jpeg photos that were taken.

Lantang and G.K. parks are very nice places to explore and recommend these trails to any lover of nature
